Infomart Portland

Welcome to The Most Efficient Data Center in The World

A new facility that’s as innovative as it is beautiful, Infomart Portland has received numerous awards, including being named the Most Efficient Data Center in the world with Uptime Institute’s Efficient IT Certification. This facility benefits from state-of-the-art energy efficiency, as well as direct access to low-carbon hydro power, abundant domestic and Trans-Pacific network choices, superior control systems, and tax-free financial incentives.

Affordable, Low-Carbon Power Enabled by Direct Access

Infomart Portland is setting a new standard for industry-leading sustainability through renewable energy use. As a Direct Access customer, Infomart chooses the energy mix and suppliers for our Portland data center, while still remaining a power distribution service customer of Portland General Electric. Our decision to source electricity from the Bonneville Power Administration enables us to achieve a 96% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions when compared to the national utility average, and provides our customers with low-carbon power at rates below the local utility tariffs.

The Oregon climate allows LinkedIn to leverage “free cooling” from water side economization 60 percent of the year, which along with an overall energy efficient design, contributes to a PUE as low as 1.06. The Uptime Institute recently has recognized LinkedIn and Infomart Portland with their Efficient IT award. Notably, this was the first time the award was given in a multi-tenant data center where the user and landlord were different entities.
